Career at Hunters
I started my career with Hunters as a part-time Weekend Negotiator in February 1998, juggling working full time as a PA/Secretary Monday to Friday. Enjoying the Estate Agency business, decided to pursue a full-time role from January 1999 as a Sales Negotiator in the Hunters Goodramgate Office. Gained promotion to Senior Sales Negotiator/Lister in January 2000 when Hunters relocated their City Centre Branch to their prestigious Colliergate Office. Having 2 successful years as a Senior Negotiator/Lister and being one of the main Listers in the York branch gave me invaluable experience in all locations in and around York. From May 2002, gained promotion to Branch Manager of the new Bishopthorpe Road Branch. From August 2003, I started maternity leave and in September gave birth to my son Alexander. Returning to work in March 2004 after my maternity leave, I decided I wanted to spend more time with my son and asked for a part-time role hence James Wort was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager - I job-shared my role with him. From August 2005, I decided to take a step down from management (totally my own decision) and focus on listings.
