Harrogate is a Spa Town located near the Yorkshire Dales. It is famous for its tea shops, the Harrogate International Conference Centre, beautiful gardens and the Harrogate Stray.
Perhaps Harrogate's best natural asset, the Stray is 200 acres of Parkland which envelopes much of the town centre and provides a vast open space for recreation. The Stray is a much loved and integral part of the town's history.
The famous Bettys tearooms have two branches in Harrogate. Bettys opened in 1919 and, over 85 years on, visitors still flock to Harrogate for this experience.
The Great Yorkshire Show is a major Harrogate attraction and takes place annually every July. It is a countryside showcase, combining entertainment with the opportunity to experience all aspects of country life and farming first-hand.
