Harrow

Situated in the northwest of London, Harrow is part of the London Borough of Harrow.  Originally a municipal borough of Middlesex, Harrow became part of Greater London in 1965.  It is considered an affluent area, and crime figures are lower than in similar other parts of London.

Harrow is well regarded for its education and is home to a large campus of the University of Westminster, Harrow School (an independent boys school) and Harrow High School (a secondary academy school).  The area has excellent transport links, and is served by the London Underground and National Rail, with six stations within Harrow alone.

Every June since 2005 Harrow Council hosts 'Under One Sky', a large community festival celebrating the diversity of the communities of Harrow.  The festival features a wide range of attractions including sports zones, youth music, free children's activities, parades and world foods.
