General information
Lying approximately 4 miles to the North of York, the villages of Haxby and Wigginton are among the most sought after in the area. The location is particularly popular with professional families due to its excellent schools and recreation facilities. There is a real sense of community with regular events held at the various church halls, playing fields and the Oaken Grove Centre.
There is a picturesque offering of period cottages and townhouses in the village centres, whilst to the outskirts are modern family homes still enjoying the village feel.
Haxby village has a wide range of local shops, a medical centre, a library, post office, banks and two supermarkets.
