Pocklington is a thriving market town on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, 12 miles east of York and 20 miles west of Hull, making it a great commuter location as well as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Pocklington boats some excellent local schools, including Pocklington School which is set in spacious private grounds on the edge of the town. Markets run regularly in the square and the town has several tourist attractions, including Burnby Hall.
Pocklington is easily accessible from the A1079 linking York and Hull. York Railway Station is approximately 30 minutes by taxi and there is also a regular bus service, while Leeds Bradford, Humberside and Manchester airports are all within easy driving distance.
